TARHEEL T's CHAPTER OF Model
T Ford Club INTERNATIONAL
Beginning in February, we are a chapter of the Model T Ford
Club International. The action took place after the Board of
Directors recommended we explore affiliating with both of the major
international Model T clubs. We remain a chapter of MTFCA as
we have since the club's founding. A link to the MTFCI
membership appliation has been placed on the LINKS page for those
interested in applying for a personal membership. You will
receive window decals showing the distinctive MTFCI brass radiator
and a subscription to the award winning MODEL T TIMES magazine.
ANNUAL BOARD AND PLANNING
MEETING
The annual Board and Planning meeting was held on January
24th. A schedule of events for 2010 was approved. The results
are on the CALENDAR page. We wll also explore the possibility
of adding a tour in the Raleigh area given we now have a number of
members from that area of the Piedmont. The club will look into the
advisability of joining the MTFCI as a chapter. The board is making
a strong request to all members to pay their annual dues in a timely
manner. This year the dues collection period extended to over
5 months which is too long. The collection began in August and
only finished days before the January meeting. Next year we
will be encouraging all members to pay their 2011 dues within
30-days after the annual membership meeting.
TOURING TOOL
BOXES
The club
has created touring tool chests which contain the tools and parts we
commonly need.
We
have prepared a
list of tools and parts which are or will be included and members are asked
to contribute both ideas or items. If you want to be involved,
let the club officers know by sending an email to the club address.
Mack Cole donated two excellent tool chests and we have been able to fill
them with the usual assortment of
Model T wrenches, etc. etc.
